During his high school tenure, Richter proved himself as a standout player, earning the esteemed title of region Offensive Player of the Year in his senior year. Darius Alexander, hailing from Fort Wayne, Indiana, is a talented football player who currently plays as a Defensive Tackle for the University of Toledo. Prior to his time at the University of Toledo, Darius attended Wayne High School, where he was a three-time letterwinner as a defensive lineman. Braden AwlsFreshman
Braden Awls, is a talented Defensive Back standing tall at 6 feet and weighing 190 pounds. Born and raised in Sylvania, Ohio, Braden attended Toledo Central Catholic High School, where he emerged as a standout athlete.
During his time in high school, Braden earned a well-deserved three-star prospect ranking by 247 Sports. His exceptional skills and dedication to the game earned him multiple accolades, including first-team all-conference and first-team all-district honors in his senior year. In the previous season, he was recognized with first-team all-conference and second-team all-district honors. Braden’s impressive performance led his team, Central Catholic, to clinch the state championship in 2022, under the guidance of coach Greg Dempsey. He was also named first team All-Blade on two occasions, further solidifying his status as a football prodigy.
Outside of football, Braden cherishes his close-knit family. He is the son of Christina and Terry Awls and has two brothers, Cameron and Adin, as well as one sister named Jasmine. Braden’s brother, Cameron, shares a passion for sports and is actively involved in basketball, representing Trine University.
Currently, as a freshman at the University of Toledo, Braden remains undecided on his major. Nevertheless, he continues to make waves on the football field, determined to contribute his skills and dedication to the university’s team.
Matthew BaileyLong Snapper
Matthew Bailey, a seasoned Long Snapper for the University of Toledo, calls Deland, Florida, his hometown. Standing at 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 214 pounds, Matthew brings both precision and athleticism to his role on the team. Currently a Senior, he has proven to be a valuable asset to the Rockets.
Matthew’s journey to Toledo includes a notable stint at South Carolina, where he spent two years as a letterman. Over the course of four seasons, he appeared in 26 games, showcasing his versatility by handling both short and long snapping duties. His contributions earned him letters in 2020 and 2021.
In his high school days at Deland High School, Matthew graduated in 2019. He participated in the Kohl’s Senior Challenge, where he distinguished himself as one of the most athletic snappers in the 2019 class. His dominance was evident during the Spring Texas Showcase, where he clinched victory in the camp-wide snapping competition with an impressive 0.66-second snap time.
Since joining the University of Toledo in 2023, Matthew Bailey has been a consistent presence on the field. Throughout the 2023 season, he played in all 14 games as the team’s long snapper. His expertise in this specialized position contributes to the smooth execution of crucial plays, demonstrating his reliability and skill.

Jackson BarrowJunior
Jackson Barrow is a junior football player at the University of Toledo, straight out of Indianapolis, Indiana. Standing at 6 feet tall and weighing 220 pounds, Barrow plays as a Linebacker.
In 2022, Barrow got the chance to showcase his skills in all 14 games, starting in three of them. He recorded 31 tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss (TFL) and 1.0 sack. Notably, he achieved a career-high of nine tackles during a game against Northern Illinois. Additionally, he made notable contributions in other matchups such as the season opener against LIU and the MAC Championship and Boca Raton Bowl, where he made four tackles and two tackles respectively. Barrow also demonstrated his defensive prowess with one TFL and one sack against Liberty.
The previous year, in 2021, Barrow participated in 12 games, earning five starts. He made 42 tackles and recorded 1.0 TFL. Drew BeckenhauptOffensive Lineman
Drew, a Junior, hails from Cleves, Ohio. Standing at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 299 pounds, he’s a force to be reckoned with on the field. Before joining the college ranks, Drew made waves at Elder High School, where he served as team captain and was voted Best Offensive Lineman by his teammates. His impressive high school career included all-conference honors and contributing to 31 victories over four seasons. Notably, he led Elder to the state championship game during his junior year.
In 2023, Drew appeared in one game against Texas Southern. During the 2021 season, he sat out as a redshirt, preparing for his future contributions.
Off the field, Drew is pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice.
Zeke BlakeCornerback
Zeke, a Senior, hails from Lauderhill, Florida. Standing at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 194 pounds, he’s a formidable presence on the football field. Before his collegiate career, Zeke made waves at Wellington High School, where he was a standout defensive back.
Before transferring to Toledo, he spent time at Youngstown State. Zeke played two seasons, amassing a total of 31 tackles. In the 2023 season, he participated in all 13 games, recording 19 tackles. Notably, he had a season-high three stops in games against Ohio State and Murray State. In 2022, he played in 10 games, earning one start. His career-best performance came with four tackles against North Dakota State, and he also made three stops against Kentucky.
Off the field, Zeke’s full name is Ezekiel Jeremiah Blake. He is the son of Ineka McDonald and has an older sister and a younger brother. Interestingly, Zeke’s mother was a track athlete at Central Connecticut State.
Daniel BoldenJunior
Daniel Bolden, a talented linebacker hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, currently plays for the University of Toledo football team. Standing at an imposing height of 6-1 and weighing 250 pounds, Bolden brings a formidable presence to the field. As a junior at Toledo, he has already demonstrated his skill and dedication to the game.
Bolden, known for his tenacious playing style, started his football journey at Colerain High School, where he captained the team and earned accolades as the 2017 team MVP. With a string of impressive performances, he helped lead Colerain to an OHSAA state semifinal appearance during his senior year. Nasir BowersDefensive Back
Nasir Bowers, a talented Defensive Back hailing from Lakeland, Florida. Standing at 5-9 and weighing 182 pounds, Nasir is currently a Junior with a passion for the game. His journey began at Lakeland High School, where he made a significant impact. As a three-star prospect according to 24/7 Sports, Nasir showcased his skills with 28 tackles, eight passes defended, and four interceptions during his senior year. Cavon Butler is a talented Defensive Tackle from Toledo, Ohio. Standing tall at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 312 pounds, he has proven himself as a force to be reckoned with on the football field. Currently a Junior at the University of Toledo, Cavon is pursuing a major in Communication, showing his dedication to both academics and athletics.
Cavon’s football journey began at Whitmer High School, where he quickly gained recognition as a standout player. He was recognized as a three-star prospect and one of the top-50 interior defensive linemen by reputable scouting websites, Rivals.com and 247sports.com. His impressive performance led him to earn several accolades, including being named the Three Rivers Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year. He received further honors with selections to the first-team All-Northwest District and second-team All-Ohio in Division I. Cavon’s contributions played a pivotal role in Whitmer’s success, helping them achieve an overall record of 21-4 and two appearances in the Division I playoffs.
In 2019, Cavon began his college football journey at the University of Kentucky, where he made an appearance in one game, contributing with one tackle. However, his journey ultimately brought him back to his hometown as he transferred to the University of Toledo.

Esean CarterDefensive Tackle
Esean Carter, a formidable defensive tackle, stands at 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 285 pounds. Currently a junior, Esean hails from Detroit, Michigan, and attended Martin Luther King High School. During his high school career, Malachi earned recognition as a three-star prospect by 24/7 Sports. Michael DenningPlacekicker
Michael Tyler Denning, a placekicker hailing from Sidney, Ohio, is a valuable asset to the University of Toledo football team. Standing at 6 feet tall and weighing 188 pounds, Michael is a Senior pursuing his MBA program, showcasing his dedication not only on the field but also in the academic arena.

Off the field, Michael Tyler Denning is known for his academic prowess. He graduated from the University of Dayton with a bachelor’s degree in business economics and is currently pursuing his MBA at the University of Toledo.

During the 2023 season, Mike showcased his skills, rushing for 28 yards and scoring a touchdown over seven carries in a single game. Emilio DuranFreshman
Emilio Duran is a freshman football player at the University of Toledo, excelling in both the position of Placekicker and Punter. Standing at an impressive height of 6 feet and weighing 185 pounds, Emilio brings a strong physical presence to the field.
Before joining the University of Toledo, Emilio showcased his remarkable talent during his time at Ottawa Hills High School in Ohio. As a Five-Star punter, he garnered recognition from Kornblue Kicking for his exceptional abilities. Emilio’s skill was further validated when he broke the school’s record with a phenomenal 50-yard field goal.
His exceptional performance earned him multiple accolades, including being named a two-time Division VI All-Ohio First Team punter in both 2021 and 2022. CC Ezirim is a talented and promising tight End for the University of Toledo football team. Standing tall at 6 feet 7 inches and weighing 245 pounds, CC’s physical presence on the field makes him a formidable force for the team’s offense.
Hailing from Dublin, Ohio, CC honed his skills at Dublin Jerome High School, where he made a name for himself as a multi-sport athlete. During his time there, he was a two-time letterwinner and earned the distinction of being an academic all-conference honoree. His versatility extended beyond football, as he also achieved remarkable success in basketball, earning two all-conference titles. Moreover, CC showcased his athleticism in track and field, earning four letters, and continued to excel in basketball with three letters.
Under the guidance of Coach Brett Glass, CC’s high school career laid the foundation for his future success in college football. His dedication and talent did not go unnoticed, and he was recruited to join the University of Toledo as a Freshman.

Following in his family’s footsteps, CC’s brother, Nnamdi, is also pursuing a football career, playing at Eastern Kentucky.

During his time at Missouri in the 2021-22 seasons, Travion made appearances in two games. In 2021, he recorded two tackles and one TFL. In the following year, he participated in one game but did not register any tackles.
Travion’s journey to collegiate football began with a standout high school career at Lutheran North in Missouri. As a four-star prospect and the 139th ranked player in the ESPN 300, he garnered attention for his exceptional skills. In his senior year, he earned the title of Missouri’s Class 3 Defensive Player of the Year, amassing 28 tackles, 13.0 TFL, 6.0 sacks, and one fumble recovery in a shortened 2020 season. His junior year also boasted impressive stats with 37 tackles, 20 TFL, and nine sacks. Throughout high school, Travion received three-time all-state honors, under the guidance of coach Carl Reed.

Carter FoutyOffensive Lineman
Carter Fouty, an offensive lineman, stands at 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 294 pounds. Currently a junior, he hails from Oregon, Ohio, and attended Toledo Central Catholic High School.
His football journey includes playing in 10 games during the 2023 season, three games in 2022 (against LIU, UMass, and Northern Illinois), and transferring to Toledo in 2021 where he redshirted and retained his freshman eligibility. Prior to that, he was at the Air Force Academy in 2020.

Deshawn Holt, is an outside linebacker standing at 6-5 and weighing 240 pounds, currently plays for the University of Toledo football team. Born and raised in Waldorf, Maryland, he attended Westlake High School, where he excelled both on the football field and in track and field. As a three-star recruit, Deshawn made a name for himself with his impressive speed, running a 4.74-second 40-yard dash at 6-foot-5 and 220 pounds.
After graduating from high school, Deshawn joined the University of Maryland football program from 2019 to 2021. Zy'marion LangWide Receiver

Blake’s University of Toledo journey began in 2023, where he did not see any game action. The previous year, in 2022, he played at Texas A&M Commerce but did not make on-field appearances. Similarly, during the 2021 season at Louisville, Blake did not participate in any games.
Before joining the collegiate level, Blake showcased his talents at Walled Lake Central High School. Playing as a tight end, he earned All-State recognition in track and field, displaying his versatility as an athlete. Aside from football, Blake also excelled on the basketball court under the guidance of high school coach Joshua Perusse.
Off the field, Blake is pursuing a major in University Studies with plans to later focus on business administration. His full name is Blake Thomas Nelson, and he is the child of Tracey and Roy Nelson. Growing up with four siblings, Blake brings a strong sense of family and determination to his collegiate career.

Coming right from Toledo’s backyard, Maumee, Ohio, Zsiros attended St. John’s Jesuit High School. This is where he made a name for himself as a three-star prospect according to 247 Sports. Throughout his high school career, he earned three varsity letters and garnered two All-Ohio selections, including a first-team distinction in 2020. Zsiros showcased his exceptional skills by accumulating 119 receptions for 2,047 yards and 23 touchdowns in 27 games.
